District 34, Fla. – Today, the Florida Nurses Association announced their endorsement of Ellyn Bogdanoff‘s campaign for State Senate District 34. This major endorsement marks the fourth health-care related endorsement of the campaign. In addition to the Florida Nurses Association, Bogdanoff has already been endorsed by the Florida Medical Association, Broward County Medical Association, and Florida Association of Physician Assistants.

“Ellyn Bogdanoff is a proven leader, who throughout her career has put people above politics,” said Edward Briggs, president of the Florida Nurses Association. “Ellyn’s record of accomplishment in the Florida Senate and her commitment to those who have dedicated their lives to helping others in need, is why we are endorsing her candidacy.”

The Florida Nurses Association is the largest statewide organization of Registered Nurses and the only umbrella organization that has among its members Registered Nurses at all stages and levels of their professional career. The FNPAC focuses on efforts to participate in the development and shaping of health policy that is geared toward making high quality health care services accessible to all Floridians at a reasonable cost.

“It is a privilege to receive the endorsement of the Florida Nurses Association PAC,” said Ellyn Bogdanoff. “The men and women in the nursing community are a vital component of Florida’s healthcare system and it’s an honor to have their support moving forward.”

A word from the Broward Republican Party Chairman:

The 2014 General Election is currently underway.¬† That‚Äôs right, the first absentee ballots are already in the mail.¬† Early voting begins on October 20th.¬† Thinking in terms of a one day election (November 4th) is the logic of dinosaurs.¬† All of our Republican candidates realize the fate of those who are not currently in full election mode‚Äďextinction!¬† BREC cancelled our regular meeting in October so we can devote all of our time and resources where most needed‚Äďwalking door to door, making phone calls, and working in our campaign offices.

Keep checking on this website for updated details on the contact information and volunteer needs of our candidates.

Poll Watchers Deadline Approaching

Please sign up to work as a poll watcher for early voting and/or on the General Election on November 4th.  You are urgently needed.  Poll watchers are an important line of defense to discourage voter fraud.

What is a poll watcher?

A person may be asked by a candidate or political party to go to a polling place and observe. We call this person a poll watcher. The poll watcher watches to see if any violations of the election laws occur. If such a violation occurs, the poll watcher is to inform the election board of the violation. The election board consists of the poll workers.

Please send the form back to us this week so we can meet the deadline at the Supervisor of Election’s Office.
