Bogdanoff lands her 4th major public safety endorsement

District 34, Fla., September 9. 2014 – Today, the Florida Association of State Troopers announced their endorsement of Ellyn Bogdanoff’s campaign for State Senate. This latest major endorsement continues to put Bogdanoff far ahead of her opponent in securing the organizational support necessary to win in November. In addition, to the Florida Association of State Troopers, Bogdanoff has already been endorsed by the Florida State Fraternal Order of Police, Professional Firefighters and Paramedics of Palm Beach County, and the Broward County Professional Firefighters and Paramedics.

Guest Speaker: Dr. Jessica Spencer — Vote No On 2 campaign

Dr. Jessica Spencer will be a special guest speaker at the August 25th meeting of the Broward Republican Executive Committee (BREC)Dr. Spencer is a 16-year veteran in the substance abuse prevention and intervention field. She works closely with substance abuse prevention coalitions, alcohol task forces and youth development groups in her community. Her passion is to counsel youth who want to help others through community and public service. Dr. Spencer recently took a leave of absence from the Manatee County Substance Abuse Coalition, where she was the Project Director, to work on the Vote No On 2 campaign. In her role, she oversaw the Manatee County Youth Commission and special projects of the coalition.

She currently serves as the Statewide Coalition Director for the Vote No On 2 campaign. The Vote No On 2 campaign is a grassroots organization bringing the truth about Amendment 2 to the voters of Florida. The coalition includes members of law enforcement, business leaders, constitutional law attorneys, doctors and other medical professionals, parents and Floridians from all walks of life.

Dr. Spencer earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Tampa and her Master’s degree in Substance Abuse Counseling & Education as well as her Doctorate in Education in Organizational Leadership at Nova Southeastern University. She is a Certified Prevention Professional and Addictions Professional in the State of Florida.

We are pleased to announce the keynote speaker at our August 25th meeting of the Broward Republican Executive Committee (BREC) is John Pisula. He will speak on the topic of the proposed Broward County School Board $800 million bond.

Mr. Pisula is a long time Republican in Broward County, going back almost two decades. He served in BREC much of that time. He is an authority on local politics and government, having studied the wacky exploits of our county’s Democrat controlled infrastructure.

One of the guest speakers at our August 25, 2014 BREC meeting will be Lauren Cooley. She will give us a brief orientation of Turning Point USA, of which she is the Florida Field Coordinator.

Ms. Cooley is also a reporter with Campus Reform. Her stories have been featured on several national news outlets, including the Drudge Report. In addition to her work for Campus Reform, Cooley has written for the Greenville Journal, The College Fix, and her college paper, The Paladin. She has also made numerous appearances on local and national talk radio programs. Ms. Cooley graduated from Furman University with a B.A. in Political Science.
