In making the announcement, LaMarca said: “Our Board is proud to endorse our own Sharon Day for Chair of the Republican Party of Florida. She has given the Republican Party of Florida countless hours for almost a decade, campaigning for Governor Crist in 2006 and all Republican candidates up and down the ballot. Last cycle, LaMarca was joined in the endorsement by Broward State Committeeman and former Broward Commissioner Edward Kennedy who said, “At this time, we have two outstanding candidates, but in the next ten months bottom-up precinct organization is absolutely necessary for success. I am and have always been a local government and precinct organization advocate, and I believe that Sharon Day has the executive abilities, precinct organization experience and grass roots knowledge to lead us to success in November.
